Who is Aaron Anastasi? Is that “singing course” any good? Well after purchasing it, we decided to write our OWN honest review here. My name is John Peele and this is Jazz Rendezvous’s Review of The Month…
Hey everybody! JOHN PEELE here.
Hitting high notes, and making my voice sound deeper and clearer have constantly challenged my singing abilities, especially when I had to prepare for a public performance my school was organizing.
Despite taking a couple of music lessons over the course of the past years, my skills haven’t improved much, as I keep sliding up and down to the notes to hit them.
When I came across Aaron Anastasi’s online singing course, I was SCEPTICAL about how efficient this program was going to be. After all, I worked with several teachers to improve my skills, and yet I WASN’T able to hit high notes or stay on pitch.
Actually, check this video out on the SSM site. Just click the image below to watch it:

I must say that, after just a couple of weeks of watching Aaron’s comprehensible videos and reading his amazing suggestions, I was able to spot an improvement in how my voice sounded – deeper, clearer, and perfectly confident.
AND IT’S NOT ONLY ME!
I put together the following review to give you an insight on this effective and affordable singing program.
What Is SSM About?
Assuming that you are new to Aaron’s program, I’ll have to explain everything from scratch – starting right with what is included with this program, and how it will help you add quality to your voice when singing.
SSM is a multimedia home training program that has been designed by Aaron to teach you how to sing and train your voice, but from the comfort of your home.
The program is spread across 8 modules that cover all key areas of your voice, coming with more than 50 singing lesson videos, 31 dynamic vocal exercise audios, and daily vocal exercise routines that will show you the steps you need to take to improve the sounding of your voice.
I was personally delighted to see that Anastasi’s singing course had a very compelling structure that presented information and lessons in a step-by-step, gradually unfolding manner.
Here’s a video a fan put together about the program:
You will start with the fundamentals of singing in the first module, and then progress to breath management, mastering vocal tone, improving pitch, signing with power and resonance, hitting higher notes, improving vocal agility, and finally learning techniques for strengthening your voice.

I found this extremely convenient despite my past experience when I took up singing lessons for kids, as Aaron has included some additional information I haven’t learned in school, nor with my teachers. Same can be said for a piano course I just reviewed here: PianoForAll review.
You can watch videos when you are at home, and read the written material when you are commuting to work/school or back home.
What I Like About SSM?
Speaking of strong points, I should definitely talk about the positives of this program in my SSM Review.
First of all, Aaron’s program covers all key aspects of singing, from singing higher notes to gaining more power and vocal agility, improving your pitch, increasing your range, and also singing for longer periods without getting fatigued.
Another aspect I personally enjoyed was the accessibility of this program, as I could easily “pack” it on my laptop or tablet, and read it virtually anywhere – in the bus, at work, in the park, at Starbucks, etc.
If you have a pair of quality headphones handy (and a good Internet connection), you can consider watching the instructional videos that come with the program as well.
The lessons are extremely easy to understand, especially since there are videos where Aaron himself teaches and shows you what and how to do it.
The overall tone of the program is nice and makes every module flow easily, so you’ll find it very enjoyable to read.
Since it’s provided in electronic format, you won’t have to wait for it to be shipped to your address, as you’ll receive an instant download link once the payment has been made.
I just placed the order, and by the time I received a confirmation email, I was also able to access the link that prompted me to the page where I could get the PDF program along with the videos.
Lastly, buying Aaron’s singing program will be much more affordable than any singing lessons, so you should definitely take advantage of the opportunity.
While the program costs only $97, a one-hour lesson would cost you anywhere between $60 and $150.
I can tell you that, although real-life learning with a teacher can make you feel comfortable, it won’t be as efficient at teaching you how to sing like you’ve always dreamed of.
What I Didn’t Like About SSM?
There isn’t much to say in terms of negatives. One aspect that some of you might find quite displeasing is that you might find the lack of a real-life teacher quite inconvenient.
Though Aaron shows you everything to help you learn how to sing faster, a teacher can also answer your questions, and you can even ask him to show everything to you a second time, and even a third and fourth time.
You see, I like eating all sorts of junk food, and while this might not make the obese-type of singer, it can still damage my voice.
Aaron suggests that making specific lifestyle and diet change will help, yet I’m not willing to give up my daily portion of French fries in favor of a bowl of broccoli or kale.
Unless you’re prepared to completely dedicate yourself to singing, you might want to consider the program a Singing Method scam – one that will scam you to a superior level!
And The Verdict Is…
As I mentioned already, learning music with teachers isn’t something I like, and I actually find Aaron’s “virtual” teaching a lot more efficient, especially when such resourceful information and helpful advice is included.
I needed just a couple of weeks (I’m not sure if two or three) to add more depth and clarity to my voice, and I am now fully capable of hitting high notes without sliding up to them – and then down to lower ones.
Paying $97 for the program was the money I’ve ever spent, and I’m very proud of my achievements thanks to Aaron Anastasi’s initiative to share his music knowledge.
